Todorov believes in a series of events happening throughout a film.The equilibrium shows the happy and innocent childhood memories such as playing in the garden and going to the theatre with his family. This however is shown in a different way through flashback. This is then contrasted with the disruption which is when the child's parents are shot in front of him.
Levi Strauss believes in Binary Opposite. The opening we see rich/poor characters this is the difference between Tom Wayne and the man than shoots him. We also see male/female characters and the stereotype of men protecting women is made when Tom stands infront of his wife take the bullet.
